Crime is a global business

Seven years ago, a room in Jamaica no bigger than a large store cupboard was filled from floor to ceiling with pieces of paper.

This was the criminal records office of the Jamaican Constabulary Force (JCF). Dating back to 1969, there was an estimated 300,000 paper files strewn around the shelves.

The JCF approached ACRO about their need for a computerised criminal records database and we successfully collaborated with them using our expertise to create a digitalised data management system. All the paper records were converted into digital records and all new records are now fully automated saving money and time.

Building new partnerships is key to meeting shared aims and to achieving greater international security and safer communities across the world - and Jamaica is just one of the partnerships we have developed.
