Head of ACRO, Chief Supt Tony Rowlinson meets a potential new recruit.

There was a ‘real buzz’ around ACRO when more than 80 people attended our recruitment evening on 18th January.

Potential employees from a wide range of backgrounds attended the event at our base between Portsmouth and Southampton, including college leavers and graduates. Colleagues from across ACRO were there to talk to the attendees to talk about our roles and work culture.

Katherine Nicholls, Information Governance Supervisor said, ‘I thought the evening was a great success, well attended and people seemed genuinely interested to know about the work ACRO does, not only by the departments represented but the work of the organisation as a whole. I had some really good conversations with people who had not worked in information management before but were able to see how some of their current and previous work experiences are directly linked, with transferable skills and knowledge.

‘From my own perspective I really enjoyed the opportunity to represent my department. It was fun to be doing something a little different, meeting with the public and talking about the things I love about my role and the interesting work I have the opportunity to undertake.’

Natalie Ladd, Senior HR Advisor said, ‘The recruitment evening was a definite success and very well attended. There was a real buzz in the room as colleagues from across ACRO volunteered to talk to visitors about what we have to offer, with HR providing advice and guidance on the recruitment process. The feedback from the event was generally extremely positive and I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended.’
